A new event for black entrepreneurs is coming to the Gem City next month.
Black Business Month is a national initiative that started in 2004 but has largely remained idle in Dayton — until now. Gem City Black Business Month will feature a host of community partners and black business owners who will come together for 13 events in August. Organizers hope to make the event an annual priority following the inaugural program.
Gem City Black Business Month seeks to engage, educate and equip black entrepreneurs with the resources necessary to grow their business. The initiative aims to support businesses of all sizes, stages and industries with community partnerships and the Launch Dayton network.
Organizers say the month-long calendar of networking events, educational programs, dialogues and workshops “has something for everyone.”
