BCP Digital Printing, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Black Classic Press, reached a significant milestone recently. The company celebrated the printing of its four millionth book. The company is also a recipient of the Baltimore Business Journal’s Family-Owned Business Award for 2021.
W. Paul Coates founded Black Classic Press as a publishing company in 1978. The company expanded by opening BCP Digital Printing as the first African American-owned digital book printing company in 1995. Using state-of-the-art equipment, BCP Digital Printing produces high-quality books and documents in short runs for corporations, government and non-profit organizations, individuals, and other book publishers.
