Wasted Wives Launches D.C. Based Subscription Service Featuring Black-Owned Wine Labels

“Wasted Wives” started as a hashtag referring to a good time friends Shantelle Dockett and Krystle Champagne-Norwood would have when documenting their wine tasting journey.

The two women started Wasted Wives: a D.C.-based curated quarterly wine subscription service exclusively featuring Black-owned wine labels.

The women are excited for subscribers to taste wine from Black-owned businesses, but they want people to know each sip has a deeper meaning. There are more than 11,000 wineries in the United States, but less than 1% are Black-owned.
